Lesson 1 of 5
How the nutrition calculator works
Direct answer: The Snacademy calculator gives adults aged 18 and over general estimates: BMI and a weight range, protein, and water, plus ICMR-NIN's reference diets for daily energy. Every figure comes from ICMR-NIN's 2024 guidelines. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is stored or sent. Each number comes with what it looks like as food.
Consult a doctor or dietitian: these are general estimates for adults. They are not a plan for pregnancy, breastfeeding, children, illness or any medical condition.
Who is it for?
Adults aged 18 and over. It does not give results for pregnancy, breastfeeding or anyone under 18; those need a doctor's or paediatrician's advice.
Why show food, not just numbers?
A number like 54g of protein means more when you can see it as dal, curd and nuts.
FAQ
